Pictures Of What's In The Walls, And I've Ordered Shutters, Gable Vent, Kitchen And Bathroom Cabinets, Pool Room And Kitchen Pendant Lights

There's no work happening at the house this weekend, except the electrician might be hanging tough in this extreme cold weather! Steve said the batteries aren't charging and equipment isn't working because it's so cold. They are supposed to get hit with snow tonight into tomorrow, so I'm not sure what that means as far as work tomorrow. Steve did go to the site on Saturday morning and clean up and he took a ton of pictures, included below.  This is the back patio area looking into the pool room. The patio ceiling is done and some of the siding trim is in place.

This is the double door on the back of the garage where I can bring in a driving mower. Some of the siding is in place.

The pool room.

This is Mom's kitchen. The blue on the right is for Mom's pendant light over the sink. The support rails are in place on the back wall for cabinets. I see duct work in the overhead.

Not sure what room this is... The two blue boxes might be for the pendant lights over Mom's island.

This is the manifold for the pex piping for the radiant floor heat. There's one of these on Mom's side and one on my side. This one is Mom's.

The archway goes into the pool room.

This is my hallway.

For heating and cooling, I've got two zones on my side and Mom is a separate zone.

I see electric, plumbing, and hvac here.

I don't know if this is a return for the hvac.

I suppose the different colored wire is for different things.

This is the master bath, the vanity on the left and the toilet on the right. On the other side of the wall from the vanity is my washer/dryer. And on the other side of the wall from the toilet is the spare bath.

This might be Mom's bedroom. Or my office...

This is a bathroom. Which one... This might be the 4-way bathroom. It's a small bathroom with 4 doors (office, hot tub, pool room, spare bedroom).

This is the cathedral ceiling in the pool room The overhead ledge is where my pool trophies will go. I might put my military shadow box in the center. I'll have to see how it looks there.

This is from inside the pool room looking out toward the patio/breezeway.

This is my kitchen with the rails in place for the cabinets.

Here's the attic access. Nobody was a big fan of having it in the sunroom/foyer. But the hvac put some stuff in the way of the other place that made sense before we could stake our claim for the attic access. So, here it is... It's fine.

Mom's garden tub. She's also got a sit shower with grab bars.

This is the pex manifold on my side for the radiant floor heat.

This is the enclosure for Mom's washer and dryer.

This is Mom's kitchen looking toward my house. Cabinet rails are in place.

Mom has corner windows (with a sink in the corner) because her view straight out is the garage and to the right is my house. So, this way she can see the yard straight from the corner.

This is the door out the back of the sunroom/foyer to the patio/breezeway.

This is the patio/breezeway. You can see Mom's corner windows in her kitchen. Some of the siding is in place here as well.

That's it for Steve's pictures. I've been spending $$ like I've got it! The shutters and gable vent have been ordered. Pretty!

I went to Lowes today and paid for the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. They should be delivered in about 3 weeks. They are: Shenandoah Bluemont Maple Cathedral in Mocha Glaze. The cabinet lady at Lowes had me on stand-by. And she let me know that they are currently running the sale that we've been waiting for! We got the cabinets at more than $8,000 under budget!!

And I just bought some lights that I love! They are for over the pool table. I was debating getting these. Have you noticed some sites raise the price for something you look at but don't purchase? So, I had these lights and the pendants below in my shopping cart while I priced more locations. And one of those google returns sent me to the same site, and the price was higher. So, I went ahead and got them. And I used a 15% off promo code they sent me in return for my email address. More spam to delete, but that's fine because I saved some bucks!

These are the matching pendants, two over the kitchen island and one over the kitchen sink. The pool room is accessible through an archway off of the kitchen. So, these lights will give some continuity between the two spaces. These lights are a splurge, but I think they are going to be beautiful!!
My kitchen countertops are going to be Cambria Quartz in the Nevern color. These lights are going to look awesome with my counters!
