More Yard Pictures

The North Rain Garden is coming in nicely. The pink flowers are Joe Pye Weed. The white is a Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea.

The posts aren't attached yet. The patio will also be screened.

The rain barrels are in place. They are daisy chained together. The empty area between the rain barrels and the heat pumps is where a standby generator will go -- when I can afford it... That's the back of the camper garage on the right.

I'm really not happy with part of the septic being above ground. I'll be landscaping to hide it.

The South Rain Garden is also coming in nicely. I love the huge blooms on the Summer Storm Swamp Rose Mallow.

I love how the front door area came out. I got a beautiful address plaque that will go on the front of the house. I'll post a pic after its in place.

This is the back of the camper garage. There's a water hydrant for the camper and garden. Mom's house is visible to the right. She only has to move next door!

Front Doors, Sky Lights, Knee Walls, HVAC

I took some pictures today :

The front doors are in! This is my front door. Isn't it pretty!? When you are facing my front door, mom's front door is on the left.

Here's Mom's front door. It's the same as mine, just without the sidelights.

This is inside Mom's house, looking over the knee wall/planter box toward Mom's front door.

The front of the house faces east. You can see both front doors here. That's the sky light over my livingroom.

Looking at the front from a different angle. That's the sky light over Mom's livingroom. The little wall opposite Mom's front door is a window in my  livingroom.

This is kind of the northwest corner.

This is the west facing side -- the back of the house. The sky lights are in. The one on the right is over Mom's kitchen. The one on the left is over my kitchen.

This is the southwest corner.

This is the southeast corner. Steve bought the posts yesterday for the front porch. It's going to look great!

Mom's side. This is the south-facing side that will get the solar panels. That's the camper garage on the left forefront of the picture.

The HVAC crew started running the ductwork today. Since it's a slab, everything goes up.

This is looking in Mom's kitchen door. The knee wall will have base cabinets opening on the kitchen side with a planter box on top. I've spent the day with the electrician.  The blue boxes are for light switches and outlets. What a pain deciding where all the lights and stuff go...

This is looking in my kitchen door from the sunroom. Same knee wall, same purpose.
