Monolithic Pour

Today's the big day, concrete trucks are on site and more are on the way! It took nine trucks to do the house and 3-car garage. They ran out of daylight before they could get the camper garage done. They will do the camper garage, as well as the stamped concrete, at a later date. The front porch, patio areas, and breezeway are all going to be stamped concrete. Here's the pour:

What's In The Slab...

I arrived home in time to take final pictures before the concrete is poured. I wanted a record in case any work needs to be done in the future. The light wasn't the greatest when I arrived, but it will have to do... This is from the street, looking down the driveway. The camper garage is on the left. The house is on the right, with the side-load 3-car garage visible in this shot.

Ready For Concrete

We had some rain. I don't see any areas where it's caused any problems... There's a lot of rain in the forecast. The pour is scheduled for 12/21. Fingers crossed for nice weather!

Looking at the below picture, the camper garage is in the lower left hand corner. There's a breezeway between the garage and the house. The breezeway leads to a patio area -- turn right into the sunroom. From there you can go to Mom's on the right or my house on the left.

Radiant Floor Heat

All of the insulation, rebar, and wire mesh is in place. The PEX piping for the radiant floor heat gets attached to the wire mesh so it stays in place. All of the blue and orange spray paint designates walls and cabinets, places where you don't want the PEX.

Driveway

There's a large turn-around area in front of the 3-car garage.

Insulation

Insulation goes between the ground and the slab. The area closest to the camera is Mom's house. The indented area is the sunroom that seperates Mom's house from my house at the far end. The bump out to the left is the pool room.

More Drain Pipes Installed

It's coming together! A lot more drain pipes have been installed.

The camper garage is ready for concrete.

This is Mom's bathroom. Shower drain on the far right, toilet drain in the middle, sink drain on the far left.

The front porch goes the entire length of the front of the house. That's Mom's bathroom again closest to the camera.
